The Alumni Affairs Committee (AAC) is pleased to announce Mr. Rahul Mullick (PGDM 1995-97) as the Alumnus of the Month (AoM) for April 2011.
Mr. Rahul Mullick is a seasoned consultant with expertise in IT Advisory and e-Governance. He is presently a Partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), one of the Big 4 advisory firms in the world. He started his career with Microland via a campus placement and has subsequently worked with Ernst & Young, Wipro and KPMG.
Mr. Mullick has a Bachelors degree in Computer Science prior to his PGDM from TAPMI. He is also a BS7799 certified lead assessor and an ITIL certified consultant.
In his successful career spanning 14 years, Mr. Mullick has established and lead IT consulting practices across India, Middle East & APAC. In 2002, he joined Wipro as part of the startup Wipro Consulting Services and helped setup their practice in North India, Middle East and subsequently Australia & New Zealand. He worked in areas of IT Strategy, IT Governance, Six Sigma Advisory, e-Procurement, Information Security & Risk Management.
In 2007, he joined KPMG in its e-Governance practice. He worked towards transformation of Government services to its citizens via the use of Information Technology. He is also an expert in the field of emigration and has advised the government and global organizations such as the International Organization of Migration on migration policies for the Indian workers, using technology for effective migration management and future migration strategies.
In early 2011, Mr. Mullick joined PwC as a Partner. He is part of the biggest and strongest e-Governance consulting practice in the country with the largest share of clients and business in the market.
Mr. Mullick is a prolific public speaker at various events and forums on Technology & e-Governance. He has been a panelist and plenary speaker at events held by Ministry of IT, CII, BPO India Forum, Dataquest etc. He has been a chosen leader in leadership programs held by Wipro and attended the Emerging Leaders program at the Indian School of Business (ISB) in 2010.
On the personal front, Mr. Mullick enjoys movies, music and blogging. He is an avid sportsman with interests in Cricket, Tennis and Golf. He & his wife Suneeta are blessed with two beautiful girls – Anushka (9) and Malvika (4). They are currently based in Gurgaon.
He describes his memories at TAPMI as: “All through my 14 years since Manipal, one thing that has remained constant is my gratitude towards TAPMI. I owe my career to the foundation I have had at the Institute. As for any B-School, I believe it is what you take out of the institution rather than what the institution gives you which really matters. TAPMI has been a tremendous source of knowledge and personal development for me, something for which I shall forever remain grateful. Moreover, in TAPMI I met some great people and friends who have been inspirational in many ways.”
